About the Internship:
Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Contribute to the design and development of server-side logic and functionality for web applications using Python and Flask. Assist in the creation of APIs and backend services to support the front-end components.
2. Gain experience in working with databases, both SQL and NoSQL, for data storage and retrieval. Learn to design and maintain efficient database schemas
3. Assist in the creation of RESTful APIs to facilitate data exchange between the frontend and backend systems
4. Work on authentication and authorization mechanisms for secure data access
5. Write and execute tests to ensure the quality and reliability of backend code
6. Learn to identify and debug issues in the backend components.
7. Participate in code reviews to improve code quality, performance optimization, and security of the systems
8. Troubleshoot, debug issues and work closely with the team to identify solutions
9. Document your work, processes, and insights to contribute to the team’s knowledge base
Qualifications:
1. Current enrollment in a Bachelors/Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
2. In-depth understanding of Python, Flask, React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
3. Strong interest in backend development and eagerness to learn
4. Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail
5. Prior personal or academic projects showcasing your interest and skills in development
6. Basic working knowledge of Linux systems
7. Basic knowledge of any public cloud like AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.
8. Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and basic command-line usage
