About the internship:
One of the key strategic imperatives at GCPL is urban expansion. The role of the sales trainee is to drive urban growth for their territory in terms of sales value and volume across product categories.
Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Leading, supervising, and controlling their team of sales representatives (DSRs) for the implementation of the growth agenda in the area through opportunities addressed by:
– Key geography
– Key channel partners
– Sales infrastructure & processes
2. Planning & organizing:
– Executing the agenda (focus areas & enablers, annual operating plan)
– Setting objectives (targets at monthly level)
– Field review meetings
– Driving process parameters
– Executing trade programs and trade inputs (schemes etc.)
3. Leadership & team management:
– Coaching the salesmen
– Performance management, learning & development of the team
– Relationship building
4. Review and analytics:
– Analyzing area performance
– Touring by objectives
– Review of focus areas
– Responding to a competitive environment
Note: Travel/Dearness allowance will be provided in addition to the stipend.

1. Female MBA candidates graduating in 2025
2. Candidates should not have any pending backlogs
3. Strong and clear communication skills
4. Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation
5. Proficiency in MS Excel is a plus
